Our client is looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to work in their Charleston SC offices

Engineer will maintain responsibility for day-to-day management and response to incidents across the platform and data enterprise. Serve as a critical player in the engineering and operations team. Maintain responsibility for the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the OpenShift PaaS platform and the environments that support development, test, and production operations. Work directly with the engineering team to develop infrastructure and automation that supports smooth, scalable, and reliable product operations. Work in a hands-on role as a developer, systems administrator, or operations engineer, demonstrating expertise in the development life cycle.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux systems engineering
  • 1+ years of experience with deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing AWS Cloud-based deployment environments to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of productions systems
  • 1+ years of experience with developing back-end software applications
  • 1+ years of experience with configuration management tools, including Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet and extending these tools with custom-developed plugins
  • 1+ years of experience with leading small technical teams in operational setting, including assigning or overseeing tasks, and providing technical support, and mentorship to team members
  • 1+ years of experience in the development, deployment, and troubleshooting of Docker containers in distributed production environments
  • 1+ years of experience in dynamic orchestration schedulers, including Kubernetes or OpenShift, Apache Mesos, Pivotal CloudFoundry or Docker Swarm
  • 1+ years of experience with logging and metrics aggregation tools, including ELK, InfluxDB, Grafana, Kibana, or DataDog
  • Ability to lead TEMs, synthesize technical scenarios to non-technical audiences, and provide executive level operational status reports
Additional Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Python, Java, or Golang programming languages
  • Knowledge of ETL tools, including Apache Nifi
  • Knowledge of YAML
  • Ability to work on client site in Washington, DC or Reston, VA
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • BA or BS degree
  • Security+ Certification
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification and Certified Kubernetes Administrator
